To create a YouTube business account, you need to link it to a Google account, as YouTube is owned by Google. Previously, this was tied to Google+ Pages, but since Google+ was discontinued, the process now centers around Google Brand Accounts. These allow businesses and brands to manage their YouTube presence separately from their personal Google accounts.
If you already have a Google Brand Account (previously a Google+ Page), you can use it to create your YouTube channel. This is the most efficient method for brands that have already established a presence with Google.
Steps:
Log into your Google Account linked to the Brand Account.
Go to YouTube.com.
Click on your profile picture in the top right corner.
In the dropdown, select Switch account or directly select the Brand Account associated with your business.
If the Brand Account doesn’t have a YouTube channel yet, YouTube will prompt you to create one using this account.
Follow the on-screen prompts to name your channel and customize it.
If you don’t have a Brand Account yet, you can create one directly from YouTube. This process automatically creates a Brand Account for your business.
Steps:
Log into your personal Google Account.
Go to YouTube.com and click your profile image at the top right corner.
Click on the Settings icon (gear icon) next to Creator Studio or go to YouTube Studio.
Under the Account section, click Add or manage your channels.
Click Create a new channel.
Enter your business or brand name and choose the appropriate category.
Click Create.
You will be directed to your new channel page, where YouTube provides tutorials and setup tips.
YouTube Brand Accounts allow multiple managers, so you can grant access to team members without sharing your personal Google login.
You can always link your YouTube channel to other Google services like Google Ads for advertising and Google Analytics for deeper insights.
After creating your channel, you’ll want to customize your YouTube Channel Page. This is the public face of your brand on YouTube.
