Full Stack Web Developer is someone who works with the Back End (server side) as well as the Front End (client side) Full Stack Developers have to have some skills in a wide variety of coding niches, from databases to graphic design and UI/UX management in order to do their job well.

Requirements

Some of the responsibilities of a Full Stack Web Developer include:

  1. Helping with the design and development of websites
  2. Testing and debugging websites backend/froentend to keep it optimized
  3. Writing clean code for the front and back end of the websites
  4. Designing user interactions on the web application itself
  5. Creating servers and databases for the back end of the websites
  6. Ensuring cross-device compatibility, optimization and responsiveness
  7. Testing and maintaining the responsive design of websites
  8. Working with graphic designers to design new features
  9. Developing APIs and RESTful services
  10. Keeping up with technological advances to optimize the websites
  11. Communicating effectiveness of emerging technologies to decision makers
  12. Considering security, maintenance, scalability, and more when developing.

Front end Development

  1. HTML /HTML5
  2. CSS3
  3. JavaScript
  4. SASS HTML
  5. Twitter Bootstrap
  6. jQuery

Front End Frameworks and Libraries:

  1. Node.js
  2. AngularJs
  3. ReactJS

Back end languages:

  1. PHP
  2. Python

CMS Development:

  1. WordPress, Drupal, Joomla
  2. Magento, Woocommerce, BigCommerce
  3. Squrespace, WIX, Shopify
  4. HubSpot CMS Hub

Databases

  1. MySQL
  2. PostgreSQL
  3. MongoDB
  4. CouchDB
  5. Apache Cassandra

CD/CI

  1. Knowledge of VCS (version control system) like GITG and Git Flow
  2. Knowledge of Testing, Unit tests, End to End, or manually from the test or QA
  3. Knowledge of Task Runners (Grunt, Gulp), Debuggers (Xdebug, Firedebug

Trial task for Developer

  1. Install a local server in your system(WAMP, XAMP etc)
  2. Setup a Fresh WordPress
  3. Setup Visual Composer Plugin + Visualcomposer Starter Theme from https://visualcomposer.com/visual-composer-starter-theme/
  4. Set Up a child theme for visual composer starter theme
  5. Setup git to track only functions.php in the Plugins folder and the child theme folder.
  6. Track the time taken
